Today we are going to look at some of the best small weed plant seeds. Weed plants can come in all different shapes and size. It is one of the most versatile & every changing plants around today.
As Cannabis can pretty much grow anywhere some plants would naturally start to fit into smaller spaces. Other strains have been genetically bred to become small and take up less space.

How to tell if a weed seed is going to produce small plants?
While this question doesnt have an exact answer from actually looking at seeds from the information given from breeders we can usually tell about the size of the plant. Most cannabis plants will have an average height of 120-150 cm (this can of course vary from grow to grow depending on the set up) where as most smaller plants will have a noted height of around 50 cm with the bigger of this type up to 80-100 cm or so.
Another give away is often in the name. If you see something with “dwarf” or “ryder” in the name that would usually turn out to be a strain which has been specifically bred to produce smaller plants.
Dwarf has fairly obvious reasons for choosing that name. When you see dwarf in the name you know this strain it is small. Be it specifically bred or a smaller version of a popular strain. Ryder strains are usually Autoflowering, small and likely named after the first commercial Autoflowering and original small weed plant seeds Lowryder from the Join Doctor.
When Lowryder came about it changed everything and opened up the door for Autoflowering seeds to hit the market. Designed specifically for shorter plants as well as shorter grow times Lowryder became an instant hit in the European market

After Lowryder we saw a whole bunch of new autoflowering strains hit the market with the majority being on the smaller side with the shorter growing cycles. While this has now changed and some Autoflowering seeds are absolute beasts there are still plenty of specifically small weed plant seeds available.
Why are small plants so popular?
As pointed out in the quote above from the Joint Doctor small weed plant seeds are very popular in Europe due to the lack of space a lot of people find themselves with. Europe is a densely populated area. Most countries having people live in more urban environments instead out spacely country side living.
In America & Canada there is a lot more space and also a much greater leniency with the attitude towards cannabis consumption and growth. Cannabis has been medically okay since 1996. Although this doesn’t mean you could have a huge crop on anywhere you wanted it did mean people are less paranoid about getting into any serious trouble should they be caught.
Unlike the USA most countries in Europe have a more negative view of cannabis and isn’t even available on a medical basis to most people living there. This is what makes small weed plant seeds so popular – the ability to grow your own medicine or “medicine” with little chance of being discovered or even noticed at all.

StarRyder Auto – Dutch Passion
The collaboration took a few years to create this outstanding AutoFem variety. An exceptional Dutch Passion Isis clone, a premium Sativa with a first class “high”, carefully hybridised by Joint Doctor with one of his best Indica dominant automatics. The result is a very potent AutoFem variety. The first part of the name refers to the outstanding quality and performance, a real Star. The second part of the name refers to the Joint Doctor, the autoflowering pioneer and producer of the original LowRyder. StarRyder grows like a compact Christmas tree, producing large resinous buds, growing to around 50cm tall and yielding 45 to 100 grams on average. The THC content is around 15 to 19% which is special for an AutoFem variety.
The backbone of Sagarmatha autoflowering program Solo ryder is the main contributor to the autoflowering phenomenon. A jewel in her pure form and a dream plant in crosses the lowryder sequencing has transformed sensimillia production and proliferation. Because of the super fast growing schedule Soloryder is perfect for early cropping both indoors and especially outdoors. 8-9 Weeks from seed to harvest is the predicted time frame for success. Closet and clandestine grows are best for Soloryder and her sisters. Being first to market can be a plus when getting the big bucks. Another classic small weed plant seed – Budda Seeds Red Dwarf was born from the auto flowering parental strain that led to White Dwarf, hybridized with an exceptional skunk type female, and crossed to maintain the auto-flowering pattern. Budda Seeds Red Dwarf is a compact, female, auto-flowering, resinous plant with its cannabis seeds giving off an intense smell and extreme power. Kera Dwarf Auto is an easy going plant that can grow pretty much anywhere. Of course this is thanks to its autoflowering genetics. A few weeks in it blooms automatically. In about 8 to 9 weeks the Kera Dwarf Auto is ready for harvest. It’s a real dwarf, because it only gets up to 50 – 90 centimetres tall. So this plant is very suitable for limited space. Even though the plant is small, you’ll still get a decent yield. Provide it with good growing and blooming conditions and it’ll reward you for it.
Royal Dwarf – Royal Queen Seeds
With a similar genetic background to our Easy Bud but crossed with Skunk to create a new auto-flowering feminised variety. We call this bonsai-like auto-flowering variety Royal Dwarf. Royal Dwarf is a very compact plant.
This compact structure, along with its tight buds, make it ideal for growing indoors or outdoors in reduced spaces.
The Skunk has given it a different flavour and slightly larger yield than other auto-flowering varieties. This compact plant can produce up to 60 g a plant. Like most Skunk hybrids, Royal Dwarf has a very strong aroma and hard resin-covered buds. Small and mighty, Royal Dwarf grows quickly, reaching an average height of 40 to 60 cm. Ready for harvest in just 8 to 9 Weeks. The effect is much like a good old Skunk variety. It gives a mild social high and relaxing body stone. Small and easy to grow, this plant is great for any grower wanting to try out a different auto-flowering variety.
A newer small weed plant seed. Auto #1 is Auto Seeds original auto-flowering dwarf variety.
At one of the lowest prices on the market, Auto #1 makes a great entry level strain.
Creating Auto #1 Auto Seeds aimed for improved yield and taste whilst maintaining the benefits of autoflowering dwarfs like Lowryder. Not only that, it has one of the lowest odour levels of any auto making it an excellent discreet grow. If given 20 or even 22 hours of light, the results can be truly satisfying.
More vigorous and with a greater psychoactive effect. Auto #1 has a better taste than Lowryder and many typical auto-flowering strains.
It is very easy to grow, its dwarf like height makes it ideal for balconies, terraces or any place where space is limited. Auto #1 will thrive in nearly all climate zones provided it gets plenty of light (even very northern latitudes).
Little Dwarf Auto – Zambeza Seeds
Zambeza Seeds used genetics of Skunk and Ruderalis to create a bonsai-like sturdy strain that can be grown in different ways and environments.
Little Dwarf Autoflowering is a viable option for growers who want to hide their plants from prying eyes or simply prefer smaller plants. It’s not only the compact size and reliable growing traits that make Little Dwarf desirable. The potency and taste comes mainly from Skunk, one of the most influential strains ever!
Once roots are established, the genetic miracle begins. We can observe a small cannabis plant that grows into the compact structure of a magnificent Japanese bonsai tree.
Little Dwarf Autoflowering only needs a short life cycle of 55-65 days, with indoor yields of 200-250g/m². Plants stay nice and compact with indoor heights of 40-70cm. Outdoor- and guerrilla growers who prefer short plants because of lower visibility, can plan their stealth operation with Dwarfs being 50-100cm tall, so definitely easy to hide between other vegetation.
Growers who found a nice outdoor spot, including smaller spaces like balconies or terraces, can count on yields of up to 40-80g per plant. The more light hours and sun in total, the higher the yields. Although genetics are sativa-dominant, there is still some Indica in this crossing, together with the necessary amount of Ruderalis.
Little Dwarf Autoflowering is easy-to-grow and suitable for novice growers.
Easy Bud Auto – Royal Queen Seeds
Most of Royal Queen Seeds auto-flowering feminized strains are easy to grow. This one, however, is so easy to grow that we had to call it Easy Bud. Easy Bud is very similar to the auto-flowering strain White Dwarf.
It is a cross between auto-flowering Ruderalis and strong Indica strains. The auto-flowering Ruderalis genetics mean it can grow almost anywhere. And it will flower automatically after just a few Weeks. The Indica genetics have given it a stronger smoke and a relaxing physical effect. Easy Bud will grow and flower from seed in just 8 to 9 Weeks.
The plants stay small, growing to an average height of 50 to 60 cm. It thrives in small grow rooms or areas that don’t accommodate larger plants.
For such a small, easy-to-grow plant, Easy Bud gives fair yields and, in good conditions, will yield around 100g per plant. The buds have quite a strong, skunky smell and a sweet taste. This is a great variety for people who just want a nice and easy grow. Whether you are a first-time grower or just looking for something different to grow, its easy with Easy Bud.
Short Stuff #1 – Short Stuff Seeds
Shortstuff #1 was the first autoflowering strain developed by Short Stuff’s growers in Spain. Created by a long and careful selection process using the original Lowryder. Like the Joint Doctors original Lowryder, Shortstuff #1 is the perfect miniature stealth auto strain.
It generally stays under 1 foot (30cm) tall but produces a nice amount of bud which is of a very decent quality. Shortstuff #1 smokes like a decent indica with earthy aromas and a fast onset of a body stone but also a pleasing ‘head high’.
Passing directly from the seedling to the flowering stage, Short Stuff #1 altogether does away with the vegetative growth stage, in a process called autoflowering.
In other words, when planted, it sprouts, grows a couple sets of leaves, then immediately and automatically begins flowering (males at about day 17, females at day 20). As a result, it is the quickest, most compact, and most discrete plant available.
Shortstuff #1 is not a huge commercial strain but a great alternative to traditional strains with many new advantages.
